The Australian Ballet is one of the world’s leading ballet companies and a globally recognised Australian national performing arts organisation. Each year the company presents upwards of 220 performances through its main stage seasons in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth; along with public programs, special events, an extensive regional tour, a Children’s Ballet and Education programs and regular overseas tours.

Role Highlights

  • Fixed Term Contract (12 months)
  • Full Time
  • 37.5 hours per week

What you’ll be doing:

  • Translating Technical & Production activities beyond the Technical Schedule at milestone points during the repertoire and design development
  • Monitors and oversee Technical and Production rostering, including oversight for travel / accommodation and compliance with fatigue management guidelines
  • Drafting deal memos for seasonal staff, timesheet management for seasonal and casual staff
  • Oversight of the Technical and Production elements of the DIESE (or similar) planning tool
  • Other duties as required

What experience you’ll need:

  • Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
  • Developing knowledge of the DIESE (or similar systems) planning tool, particularly related to rostering
  • Advanced Skills in the MS Office suite and online planning and communications environments
  • Knowledge of theatre production processes and general workings of a large-scale Arts organisation
  • Ability to self-manage task-based activities and consistently deliver to a deadline
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, ever-changing environment
